It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

Rye Reader has it right. There aren't enough seats. It's easy to buy drinks on the platformRead More before boarding. We don't need bar cars, we need more seats (and more quiet cars!)
Tim Kirby April 14, 2014 at 03:46 pm
Yes, to more quiet cars. No to the bar car. People are entitled to a drink after work, but theyRead More can buy it before they board. Many of these people do drive home. If they are served on the train, they are more likely to have more than one.
Bob Zahm April 15, 2014 at 11:47 am
@Tim - not sure that buying on board versus pre-boarding makes a difference in terms of likelihoodRead More of single / multiple drinks.

Dons Wife & AR...I guess this will be an appropriate intermission break for me...LOL...IRead More Listened to Dons wife's song link and it is a beautiful song and I listened to AR's song link for the first time and I believe it deals with the inner self’s searching for meaning, but maybe I’m wrong and I’m sure I will hear it from AR …LOL. We know there is a place to debate anything under the sun .I tried to keep my views within current events and activities regarding the NYS Safe Act. I believe in God and also believe in reason and science. I’m providing a song link that shows another way of looking at the inner self and the meaning of life, but I know it’s not the only way….. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBVAoc5uzEM.......

I consider Suzanne a beautiful song of love and search for redemption. Extraordinary that such aRead More prolific author, poet, composer, performer could suffer from depression and work through, as one discovers in his works. I think the lyrics, like much of his writings, is layered with meaning, allows the reader to find his/her own personal hook. I love the Jesus references, to me more profoundly eloquent than anything I've read of him in bibles and elsewhere. Yet I interpret the passages a person's search for meaning to life and finding such in the present as opposed to a wishful afterlife. The "perfect body" reference strikes me as very Buddhist. In may of his works, the stories turn to love and the women who "cared" for him, often unselfishly, with a reoccurring comfort in sexuality. The depth has gone much further, in my view, as he aged, often rewriting. He's in his late 70s and still tours, sells out 20,000 seat arenas to an audience that spans at least six decades. I think his "The Partisan" is the consummate anti-war lyrics. Harrison also found comfort and meaning in Buddhism.

The entire "big question" list of "reports" from the real estate company areRead More only intended to engender discussion about different towns in Westchester and make the real estate company appear knowledgeable about these same towns so that home buyers will use them when seeking a house. In my book, calling ANY community "hard working" when they have under 50 hours / week average as their time spent working is absurd. Looking at the other factors included in the so called analysis shows that income excludes poorer communities in which many people are working many hours more per week to try to keep their heads above water. The whole thing is bilge water and a PR stunt supported by Patch.

If things were reversed, and we had a summer as hot as this winter has been cold, every day from midRead More June through August would have been 90 degrees or higher... and September, every day in the high 80's. to Issy: Quote: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come toRead More destroy, but to fulfill............Mathew 5.17" ------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesus IS the fulfillment of prophecy. As the Messiah, he ordained a NEW COVENANT. Those who claim that the Old Testament dictates are wholly applicable to Christians simply haven't read the NEW Testament critically. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Issy: You didn't read the whole argument. Continue Matthew 5. The new covenant (which actually began with Jeremiah 31:31) is BETTER than the written Law. Jesus begins at Matthew 5:21 each remark with "You have learned that our forefathers were told" and then he goes on to state what the Law says and then what HE says. The Law says you can divorce your wife. Jesus says you can't. The Law says don't commit adultery. Jesus says don't even look on a woman with a lustful eye lest you commit adultery with her in your heart. The Law says you must be brought to judgment for murder. Jesus says you must be brought to judgment even if you nurse anger against your brother. Jesus says: You have learned that they were told: Love your neighbor, hate your enemy, but what I tell you is this: Love your enemies and pray for your persecutors, only so can you be children of your heavenly Father who makes his sun rise on good and bad alike. You took your remark right out of a context that completely invalidated it. Thanks for making my job so easy.

So apparently only you are allowed to spin the bible and allow yourself the godly right of ignoringRead More the parts you don't like, although Jesus was very clear that the Old Testament must be followed (but don't take his word for it)................... The simple fact is that Jesus never said anything about homosexuality, yet some Christians, have no problem using the Old Testament to condemn gays............ So according to you if the OT gay bashing and the 10 commandments are not applicable to Christians how can they justify their rabid opposition to homosexuality?

Guess what, climate change is a better, more accurate term than the debunked global warmingRead More nonsense. It's occured thousands of times in the Earth's history. Both sides on this issue can agree on that, can't they? But, IMO humans didn't cause it directly, and cannot alter or stop it. The most critical negative human impact here is simple: too many people! Most of the Third World has NO access to birth control, and the vaunted UN doesn't seem to care. Even China relaxed it's stringent one-child-per-couple policy. Helping people limit their numbers might mitigate this problem. But I refuse to agree w/the Leftists Dems that we are some how to blame. Also, scientists who believe this theory make their paychecks off of scaring citizens, so they're incapable of being neutral.

Yes, I suppose we do have a dichotomy. On the one hand we have a bunch of Liberals flapping awayRead More about global warming or climate change or whatever the in-vogue term is as well as alternative energy. These folks are yakking it up with the folks trying to sell something - ie. The ESCO multi-level marketing folks and the solar and alternative energy sales people. On the other hand, you have a bunch of folks, myself included, who are more politically aware and are discussing a highly regulated business (the futures exchanges as well as the energy providers) in the context of what our Liberal leaders are or are not doing about it and, from a political ideology standpoint how we got in this mess. Congratulations on being a grown up.

Why let a story like this take up any real estate on the home page - especially after the allegedRead More fog advisory is lifted? The "new" Patch, now that they fired most of their employees, has become quite a disappointment. A sad departure from it's original hyper-local mission.
