Founded in 1865 -- and built in its present location in 1966 -- St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church serves a community that straddles the border between New York and Connecticut.

Set on sprawling grounds, the church is named after Paul, one of the original twelve apostles. The church's modern exterior hints at more traditional features that are best appreciated from inside -- including towering and intricate stained-glass windows.

The church community also operates a state-licensed child care and educational center that looks after the youngest of the congregation five days a week.

St. Paul's features a range of community activities, including a youth group, Sunday school, adult Bible study, and two groups for women focusing on missionary work and study.
