Amy Swerdlow Women’s History Lunchtime Discussion Roundtable: 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2 in the Sarah Lawrence College’s Wrexham Living Room, 45 Wrexham Road Bronxville, NY 10708. Free. “Discussion about the relationship between scholarship, work, and life. Bring your lunch. Coffee, tea, and dessert provided. Help reinvigorate the bridge between the academy and community.”

School-Age Adoptees Program at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library: 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Free. “Representatives from Forever Families through Adoption will be offering a program for school age adoptees, at the Port Chester- Rye Brook Public Library. Children will enjoy participating in fun and dynamic activities while getting to know other children who have been through the adoption process.”

School of the Holy Child Annual Lunch & Boutique: 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Apawamis Club in Rye. “Author and media contributor, Lee Woodruff  will be the guest speaker at the School of the Holy Child's annual Lunch and Boutique, benefitting the Maureen Alison McGrath '78 Memorial Library, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. at the Apawanis Club in Rye, N.Y. “

 

Poetry Writing Workshop: 3:30 p.m. at Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library. Free. “Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library Poet-in-Residence David Deutsch will be holding a Poetry Writing Workshop for students in grades 6-12 on Wednesday, December 4 from 3:30-4:30pm. The class will meet twice a month in October, November and December.”

 

Baby Shower Benefit: 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, Carver Center 400 Westchester Ave. Port Chester NY. “An Interfaith Event bringing congregations together to help families in need. Donate diapers, formula, wipes and ointment for families in need through the Port Chester Carver Center.”

 

Stroller Tours at the Katonah Museum of Art: 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6., The Katonah Museum of Art, 134 Jay Street, Katonah, NY 10536. $10 for non-members. “Take a break from the ordinary and bring your little one with you.  Moms, dads, and caregivers of stroller-bound babies are welcomed for special “before hours” tours of our dynamic exhibition Eye to I… 3,000 Years of Portraits. These once-a-month interactive tours will refresh your spirit and expand your mind. CSR Jewish Camp Fair and Chanukah Family Concert!: 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, Community Synagogue of Rye, 200 Forest Avenue, Rye, NY 10580. “Camping is transformational in so many amazing ways!  There is a Jewish camp to meet the needs and interests of every child. Come meet campers and representatives from 11 Jewish overnight camps that will be doing some awesome activities like, using a bike to power a blender, creating a DNA model, and making granola bars!”
