Open Door Volunteer Wins Award from Points of Light

Points of Light, a nonprofit organization that works to encourage and empower the spirit of service, honored Open Door Family Medical Centers volunteer Hilary Garland with the national Points of Light award for her marketing work with the local non-profit. Garland works in the five school-based health centers Open Door operates in Port Chester, helping them to write proposals and make presentations to raise money. She was also instrumental in planning and executing Open Door’s first Wellness Day at Port Chester High School, which featured former New York Giants punter Sean Landeta and other speakers and workshops.
