Provident Bank Park Hosts Local Rounds of MLB's Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

For the second straight season, Provident Bank Park – the home of the Rockland Boulders – in Pomona will host the first two rounds of Major League Baseball’s annual Pitch, Hit and Run competition.

Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 will have the opportunity to test their skills in baseball and softball in the local event on Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m., with winners advancing to the sectionals which will be held on Sunday, June 2, also at 9 a.m.

The event is free, but registration is required.

Participants who emerge from sectionals will advance to the Team Championships round, to be held at either Yankee Stadium in the Bronx or Citi Field in Queens, with the finals to be held at the MLB All-Star game at Citi Field on July 16.
