{POLL} July 4th: Should American Flags Flown On Government Buildings Be Made in USA?

Do You Fly an American Flag at Your Home?

As the   nears, lawmakers today urged that the U.S. pass legislation that would ensure the federal government only buys American flags that are made in America.

The Hill reports today that U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio., and U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, called for the House to would follow up on a measure already approved by the Senate. The All-American Flag Act passed the Senate last July, but the House never took action on it.

Brown, according to The Hill, said current law allows for American flags flying from federal buildings to be up to 50 percent foreign-made. He contends there are companies in the U.S. that produce the flags completely in the U.S.
