Details: Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6 p.m and The Bensen-Scott Big Band will perform at 8 p.m. Fireworks begins at 9:15 p.m. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Rye

When and Where: Rye Town Park’s Twilight Concert Series – “Pocket Change,” on July 3rd.
Why go: Rye Town Park is kicking off their free summer concert series with a great band that is a mix of soul, R&B, pop, and country music that will get you off your chair and have some fun.
Details: Concert is from 7:30PM-9PM. Located by Dearborn, Ave. Space in the pavilion will be set aside for dancing. People of all ages are encouraged to come. Concert will be held rain or shine, except in the case of thunderstorms. Picnicking is welcome. Some seating will be available but people are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets.

Why go: The Larchmont Public Library is having an exhibit of photography by John Raiola on display in the Oresman Gallery from July 2-August 30, 2012. The exhibit features full-length, color portraits of varsity athletes from New Rochelle High School. Open to everyone during library hours.

Why go: Cool down from this summer heat at the Scarsdale pool and make sure to stick around for the firework display at 9:15pm.
Details: Annual firework display is open for all residents.  Non-pool members may begin to enter the pool complex at 5 PM. A $2 fee will be charged to ALL individuals who enter the pool after 5 PM. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are strictly prohibited.

When and Where: Fourth of July Carnival at the Scarsdale Pool on Mamaroneck Road on July 4th at 11am.
Why go: Bring the family for a full day of picnicking, carnival attractions, music, and aquatic activities.

Why go: This family band plays blues, bluegrass, country, and folk music with instruments including the banjo, fiddle, harmonica, and ukulele.
Details: Perfect for all ages

When and Where: Go on a tour of Pell’s Point Battlefield.
Why go: Enjoy a walking tour of a portion of the Split Rock Golf Course, Pelham Bay Park, which is the site of the Revolutionary War battle of Pell’s Point.

Why go: There is a summer concert from 7pm-9pm and the fireworks will begin after on The Green, in the center of the mall near Armani Exchange. Bring your own beach chairs and blankets. The fireworks will be displayed in the North parking lot, facing the Cross County Parkway.
Price: Parking and admission is free.

When and Where: Parkway Oval Field Fireworks on Bronx Street in Tuckahoe on July 7th.
Why go: Bring your family to the event from 4pm-9:30pm and enjoy food, entertainment, and fireworks.
