Fireworks, Music, Food and Fun Set for Port Chester Day

Enjoy a day of crafts, music, food and dancing on Aug. 24.

Residents will enjoy a day of live music, entertainment, crafts, dancing, food, fun and fireworks t the village Recreation Department’s annual Port Chester Day at Lyon Park this Saturday, Aug. 24 from 12 to 9 p.m. The event is free.

Here is the schedule of events, courtesy of Recreation Director Heather Krakowski.

The event will kick off at noon with local Gabrielle Buccierei singing the National Anthem.

12 - 1 p.m. Mariachi band

1:30-2:30 p.m. Buddy Holly show

2:30-3 p.m. Rico Dos Anjos Karate Show

3 – 4 p.m. Destination Unknown

Greg di Eceli and Kids Drum Corps

4:30-5:30 p.m. Amy Gallatin County Band

5:30 p.m. Port Chester Senior Choir

6 – 7:15 p.m. Blues Patrol, a Blues Brothers, rhythm and blues type show.

Local high school performer Rosie Veltri will sing a few songs before the final act.

Final Act, 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Barons, music of the 50s and 60s

The event is followed with fireworks immediately after The Barons, courtesy of Friends of Corpus Christi Holy Rosary School. 

The Home Depot and The Clay Arts Center will have interactive craft activities for children to make art they can take home.
