Port Chester's Ladeairous Finishes 19th in CrossFit Games

The Port Chester native gave an incredible performance her first time at the national Games.

Congratulations to Port Chester’s Kaleena Ladeairous for finishing 19th place at the CrossFit 2013 Games  last weekend. The Games are the final stage of CrossFit competitions in which about 100 of the fittest people in the country compete for the "fittest on earth" title. CrossFit workouts are high intensity and involve Olympic lifts and gymnastics.

Ladeairous, owner of CrossFit Port Chester, came in first overall in several parts of the competition. This was her first year competing at the Games held in Carson, California.

Ladeairous wrote about the competition on her Facebook wall:

What an incredible week! I had such a blast meeting and competing amongst the fittest humans on the planet! I want to say thank you to EVERYONE, the amount of support and motivation you all gave me was beyond inspiring and is what gets me through every WOD! Thank you Mariantonia Lad-Vulcano for introducing me to CrossFit and helping me believe that I could make it to the Big Show and doing everything possible this last year to allow me to make it happen! And an ENORMOUS thank you Jason Leydon for coaching me and giving me the tools necessary to reach this level and do work here!

CrossFit Port Chester had a large welcome back sign displayed for her when she returned and plenty of her clients and friends from the gym had kind messages for her on Facebook.
