LPGA golfer and Port Chester native Meaghan Francella was one of four athletes honored last night by the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame.

Francella has been on the LPGA Tour for five years, with several memorable wins to her credit. With the busy schedule of a professional athlete and a sport that keeps her zipping around the world for tournaments, Francella said she's grateful whenever she has the opportunity to return to her hometown.

Yesterday, she'd catch up with friends in Port Chester and visit one of her favorite local eateries, Poppy's Cafe in Rye, before heading to the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame ceremony.
