How Will the Rangers Do Against the Capitals?

After a seven game series in the first round, the Rangers have the Capitals in the second round.

After surviving a thrilling seven game series against Ottawa, the Rangers are looking at a second round against the Washington Capitals.

In the game seven 2-1 victory the Rangers got their two goals from unexpected sources as defensemen Marc Staal and Dan Girardi found the back of the net in the second period for New York.

Washington comes into the second round as the Eastern Conference’s seventh seed after they beat Boston in seven games.

Game one against the Capitals is in the books as the Rangers won 3-1 and now the question is simply what’s next? Will this be the year the Stanley Cup returns to the Garden? Or will the Capitals taste champagne and send the blue shirts home early?

I wish I could say the same for the Knicks too. I am a long time Knicks fan. Unfortunately it looks like they will be lucky to win one game, never mind the series.

I'd refer to my self a "Social NHL Fan" but this team REALLY has me intrigued. In 94 NYC was a special town and the Rangers were the reason why. Id love to see that happen again. The image of Messier hoisting that cup is going to be in my head for the rest of my life.
