The Top Spot: Taken from the Port Chester Recreation Department Activities Brochure

SPORTS SQUIRTS PROGRAM - The program begins Aug. 27 – Aug. 30th Mon – Thursday from 1 -2 p.m. for children 3 -5 years old at Joseph Curtis Recreation Park. Cost is $65 payable to THE US SPORTS INSTITUTE.

The Sport Squirts program introduces children aged 3 to 5 to a variety of sports such as Soccer, T-ball, Basketball, Lacrosse and Hockey, all taking place in a safe structured environment ensuring learning is taking place. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can Find Nemo, send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants. All activities promote hand-eye coordination, movement and balance and most importantly Fun, Fun, Fun.

Friday the 13th:

Take a look at some of the most historic moments in New York sports history to happen on April 13th including the Mets first opening day, Lou Coneseca retiring and a David Ortiz jersey being dug up from the concrete at the new Yankee Stadium.
