Students to Search for Time Capsule Buried at Port Chester Middle School

Capsule was put into the ground in 1992.

In 1992, gas was $1.05 a gallon, Bill Clinton was elected president, the average cost of a house was $122,500, Peter Iasillo was mayor of Port Chester and Phish played at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.

It also the year when a time capsule was buried at Port Chester Middle School, near the school district office. 

With the passage of 20 years, it's time for that capsule to reveal its secrets.

On Friday, Principal Patrick Swift and a group of Port Chester Middle School students will attempt to find the capsule and dig it up. Their search mission is set for about 1:15 p.m.
