State Education Comissioner to Talk Common Core at PC Schools Forum

A press release from the Port Chester School District.

There will be a public forum with Commissioner of Education Dr. John B. King Jr. on Monday, October 28, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. in the Port Chester Middle School auditorium. Accompanying Commissioner King is Regent Harry Phillips and District 91 Assemblyman Steve Otis.

King will be speaking about the Common Core and related matters. Before the Commissioner speaks, individuals will have the opportunity to make statements during a 90 minute period.

Those that wish to address the commissioner must sign up in advance by calling Yvette Segal, District Clerk, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at 914-934-7922 or between 3:30-4:00 p.m.in the lobby outside of the PCMS auditorium on Monday, October 28th.  In the event, you reach the District Clerk’s voice mail, please leave your name and phone number where you can be reached.  Speakers will be called to the podium and will have 2 minutes at the microphone.
