School Calendar: Early Dismissal Today, Progress Reports Released This Week

A round-up of events in Port Chester schools this week.

Monday, Oct. 3

Students ease into the school week with a half-day: All schools will dismiss students at 11:30 p.m. today, with staff staying behind for professional development meetings.

The Rams varsity soccer squad hosts Horace Greeley at 4:30 p.m., while the varsity Cross Country team heads to Byram.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

Tennis at Port Chester High School: The girls junior varsity team hosts Briarcliff at 4:15 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

The boys varsity soccer team hosts their Rye rivals at Port Chester High School, with the game slated for 4:30 p.m.

A PTSA meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the high school library.

Thursday, Oct. 6

In another match with a local rival, the girls varsity soccer squad visits Rye Neck for a 4:30 p.m. game, while the varsity football team will host Walter Panas High School (of Cortland Manor) at Ryan Stadium, with a 4:30 p.m. kick-off.

Friday, Oct. 7

Parents of students at Port Chester Middle School will get their first official look at how the semester's going for their kids when the school releases its first progress reports today.

In sports, Rams varsity clubs will begin the weekend with the boys varsity soccer team headed to Peekskill, while the varsity volleyball team hosts Tappan Zee (of Rockland County) at PCHS. Both games are slated for 4:30 p.m.
