Port Chester University: College Fair Comes to PCMS

Kids can benefit from weighing college choices before they set foot in high school.

The storied Port Chester University may be fictional, but local students don't have to go far when it comes to higher education.

On Feb. 17, eighth-graders at Port Chester Middle School will get a chance to talk with representatives from local colleges and perhaps get a head-start on an admissions process that's more competitive than ever.

Among the colleges slated to participate in the PCMS 2nd Annual College Fair: Iona College, SUNY Purchase, Mercy College, Concordia College and Manhattanville College.

The fair is scheduled from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 in the middle school gymnasium. Along with the students, parents are encouraged to attend for an early look at potential schools for their children.
