Port Chester Teachers Get A Chance To Show Off Their Artistic Side

Clay Art Center visited John F. Kennedy Magnet School, where teachers made clay pieces for school's garden during their lunch period.

The went to Port Chester's Magnet School during lunch periods on Friday so the JFK teachers could make unique clay pieces to be put on the buttresses of the garden at the school.

The Clay Art Center also works with the JFK Oasis after school program, which allows the students to do the same thing. However, this was for teachers only.

All the teachers were invited to come during their lunch to create a clay piece to be put up at a later date.  Teachers were told to create different pieces that had to do with a lake setting, for example teachers were creating frogs, butterflies, turtles, flowers and other lake elements.
