Port Chester Teacher Going to Gates Foundation Conference on Effective Teaching

Ann Rose Santoro one of only seven educators from New York going to event.

Ann Rose Santoro, a teacher at Port Chester’s John F. Kennedy Magnet School, has been selected to attend the Second Annual Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching/Teachers Conference in San Diego.

Santoro is one of only seven educators from New York invited to the conference at the end of February. Representatives from all 50 states will be in attendance.

“Ms. Santoro is now part of a diverse group of educators from around the country who is at the table creating lesson plans that will be used as part of our elementary math instruction,” says JFK Principal Louis Cuglietto.  “That she was further recommended to be a part of the prestigious group of New York State educators attending the Gates Foundation conference is a testimony to her abilities and further recognition of Port Chester’s growing leadership around the state.”
