Port Chester High School Band Show Off Its Winning Ways

Group wins numerous awards at music festival in Virginia, puts on show at Gettysburg.

The Port Chester High School Band performed in many different ensembles at the recent Music Festival in Williamsburg, VA.

Band member received Individual, Sections, and Full Ensemble Awards on a Superior level in Jazz, Field Show and Parade and just missed symphonic wind band by 1 point, although they received an "Excellent" rating

The awards include 4 Category First Place Awards:

First Place Jazz Ensemble.

 

And,  7 Outstanding Special Awards:

Outstanding  Auxiliary,

Outstanding Brass Section,

Outstanding Drum Line,

Outstanding Drum Major,

Outstanding Saxophone Section,

Outstanding Euphonium Section,

Outstanding Soloist, Anthony Pellegrini

Additional awards were given in Overall Parade, and Overall Jazz Ensemble.

The most prestigious award was capturing the Instrumental Sweepstakes Award with the Highest National Linear Score of 99.

 On the return trip to Port Chester, the band stopped at historic Gettysburg, PA, to perform their "Civil War Suite" field show for the visitors at the Gettysburg National Military Park, Museum and Visitor Center.
