Port Chester Cheerleaders Mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Cheerleaders will sell pink wristbands at Thursday's varsity football game, as well as during school lunch periods this month, with proceeds going toward breast cancer research.

Port Chester's varsity cheerleaders are leading local efforts to mark Breast Cancer Awareness this month with an ongoing fund-raiser and show of support.

Cheerleaders will wear pink ribbons in their at school, a daily reminder to fellow students and staff that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

They're also hoping to raise money for breast cancer research. Fellow students, parents and community members can support their cause by purchasing pink wristbands for $1 apiece at Thursday's varsity football game at Port Chester High School.
