Port Chester and Blind Brook Team Up for School Jam Fest

Select bands from Port Chester and Blind Brook get together in an impromptu morning concert.

Two nearby districts got to know each other (and their instruments) a little better Friday morning when Blind Brook and Port Chester middle schoolers found out they had a mutual love for the same tune.

And no, it wasn't the new track by Justin Bieber.

It was concert favorite, "Fiero" composed by Steve Hodges. When Port Chester band director Ken Kraut and Blind Brook's Don Whitman found out they had both been practicing the song in their respective music classes, they decided to fuse their groups together for a rehearsal and performance.
