Port Chester Kids Go Caroling in the Spirit of Las Posadas

Staffers at Park Avenue School sought to bring cultures closer together Thursday with a celebration that incorporated American and Latin tradition.

Kids at Park Avenue School went caroling Thursday, learning a bit about each other's cultures while they spread Christmas cheer.

The event was designed "to celebrate both American and Latino cultures," according to Amanda Santos-Olson, the dual language coordinator at Park Avenue School.

Meeting up in the school cafeteria early Thursday evening, the children joined their teachers and went caroling in the school neighborhood before returning to the school for hot chocolate.
