Blind Brook Makeup Days Could Intrude on March Break

Superintendent William Stark provided an update on the school calendar this week.

February or March snow days may cut spring break short for Blind Brook students in order for the district to meet the state mandated 181 instructional days, schools superintendent William Stark said this week.

If Blind Brook has a snow day in the next month, students will have to make up the day on March 28. If there are two snow days, students will make up the attendance on March 27 and 28. The spring break is currently scheduled to run from Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29

In addition, in consultation with the Blind Brook Federation of Teachers, after school professional development workshops will be scheduled over the remainder of the year equal in time to two days of teacher attendance, Stark said.
