At PCMS, the Pumpkins Are Giants

Two students won a Halloween contest at PCMS, taking home giant pumpkins decorated by their classmates.

Thanks to their artistic classmates and some luck in a Halloween contest, two Port Chester Middle School students went home Thursday with pumpkins that will be the envy of every trick-or-treater on the block.

Danielle Winchester, 13, and Armond Yusi, 12, won Thursday's giant pumpkin contest at the school. Winchester, an eighth-grader, took home a pumpkin painted with a spooky silhouette of a haunted house. Yusi, who is in the seventh grade, undoubtedly needed some help carting home a giant pumpkin painted with spiderwebs.

The pumpkins were decorated by artistic students in the 21st Century School Program.
