Academic Honors: Local Students Saluted

Students named to Dean's List.

Emery Zuk of Port Chester was recently named to the Dean's List at The State University of New York at Potsdam. Zuk, whose major is Biology, was among more than 350 students who were honored for academic excellence.

A total of 364 SUNY Potsdam students who excelled academically were honored for their high marks in the Spring 2012 semester.

To achieve the honor of being on the Dean's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Melanie Bass Earns Dean's List Honors at Roger Williams University

Melanie Bass, a resident of Rye Brook, has been named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Melanie is a Elementary Education major. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
