Port Chester High School Seniors Get Their Day in the Sun

Less than 16 hours after the class of 2012's graduation was postponed, the Port Chester High School seniors finally had their moment in the sun.

The ceremony was . The stands at Ryan Stadium were full again Saturday morning, but this time, the umbrellas were in hand to provide a little shade.

Director Robert Vitti and the Port Chester High School Band opened up the ceremony followed by Elizabeth Jenson, Glen Williams and senior class members leading the crowd in the National Anthem.

The speakers that followed included Reverend Gerald Washington, Senior Class President Viridiana Vidales Coyt, Principal Mitchell Combs, Superintendent Edward Kliszus and School Board President Blanca Lopez.

Valedictorian Aimee Maria Naranjo and Salutatorian Jenny Joanna Maldonado addressed their classmates. THe keynote speaker was Joe Tores, co-anchor of Eyewitness News Weekends on WABC-TV.
