A dozen Port Chester High School students will receive honors tonight for their accomplishments on stage and in the classroom.

The 12 students will be inducted into the Tri-M Music Society tonight during a ceremony and reception at Port Chester High School. Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education, and serves as a music honor society for kids in middle school and high school.

The students were chosen for their "combined academic standing and continuing musical accomplishments," according to the school. That includes public performances, music groups and ongoing music study in areas like music theory and production.
