"Play On!" (a Play Within a Play), Performed by the Armonk Players, Opens in Armonk on Friday, June 6
The comedy "Play On!" will open at the Whippoorwill Hall Theatre in Armonk on Friday, June 6, 2014. The play is about a theater group making a desperate attempt to put on "Murder Most Foul" despite maddening interference from the haughty author who keeps revising the dreadful script.
The play, written by Rick Abbot and directed by Mark Pierce, is the latest production to be brought to the stage by The Armonk Players.
Seven performances (six evening shows and a matinee) run from June 6 to June 14.
Act I takes place during the rehearsal of Murder Most Foul; Act II is a near disastrous dress rehearsal. In the final act which is the actual performance, anything that can go wrong does. Sound effects included.
The cast members are Bruce Apar, Matt Benincasa, Daniel Burke, Judeth DeMott, Annalisa DiNucci, Elaine Healy, Tara Perucci, Martin Posner, Amanda Urban and Jennifer Weiss.
