The ELL Summer Academy is in its 6th year. Over 200 elementary English language learners are exploring scientific topics through literacy, art, technology and hands-on science, all the while developing fluency in the English language and having fun.
Their teachers are not only able to use creative strategies related to the Common Core, they also are benefitting from two teacher training partnerships with The Windward School and the Manhattanville College Reading Practicum.
Finally, Port Chester residents have been taking ESL classes through BOCES this summer.
