October is Anti-Bullying Month in our Schools

Port Chester Middle School students and their parents heard from Thomas Grimes, a retired detective and 20-year veteran of the New York City Police Department.  Mr. Grimes talked about the "dark side" of social networking (sexual predators, identity theft, sexting, cyber-bullying) and conveyed to parents that in this wired world, it is better to teach children to use the Internet safely than to block or restrict their use of it.  Mr. Grimes will be speaking at Port Chester High School later in the school year.   Thanks to Open Door Health Services for funding Mr. Grimes' talks.
