Weigh in on Proposed Budget: Trustees to Hear from Public at Monday Meeting

The public will get a chance to provide feedback on the proposed $36 million budget.

Port Chester residents will get a chance to weigh in on the village's tentative budget when the Board of Trustees meets on Monday.

An early draft of the 2011-2012 budget calls for an increase of $1,271,870, a 3.64 percent rise over last year's budget of more than $34 million.

The coming year's total could rise to $36,234,359 if the tentative budget is passed without modifications; taxpayers would have to make up most of the gap, with a tax levy increase of 3.72 percent.
