Trustees to Meet Tonight: Quarterly Code Enforcement Report on Agenda

Trustees are expected to discuss code enforcement, as well as costly repairs to Port Chester's sewer lines.

Assistant Village Manager Christopher Steers will present the Department of Code Enforcement's quarterly report when trustees meet tonight.

The quarterly reports summarize the activities of housing inspectors and their progress in working through the 5,500 parcels in the village's 2.4 square miles. The reports typically include statistics on the number of violations issued, as well as compliance rates and updates on how code enforcement cases are moving through the court system.

Also on the agenda: a discussion on the proposed creation of a sewer district, as trustees hope to address the decaying sewer lines and the cost of repairing them, which has been estimated at several million dollars.
