Shred it! Get Rid Of Your Unwanted Personal Documents
Free mobile shredder service at Rye Town Hall.
The Town of Rye is offering a free mobile shredder service to help residents get rid of old personal documents without worrying about whether the confidential material might get in the hands of ID theives.
The mobile shredder is set to be in operation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of the Town of Rye, across from 10 Pearl St., Port Chester.
By shredding documents, residents can prevent sensitive personal data from being obtained and then used to falsely obtain credit cards, identification documents or access bank accounts and other financial resources.
