[UPDATE] Port Chester Officials Fear Construction Work Compromised Downtown Building

Barriers erected in immediate area, part of Adee Street closed.

Port Chester officials have blocked off access to part of Adee Street and erected barriers around a downtown building where they fear construction work had compromised the structure of the building.

Port Chester Police Chief Joseph Krzeminski said a load-bearing wall appears to be compromised as well as a roof from a large load of bricks on the roof.

Krzeminski said one block of Adee Street at North Main Street is closed as a precaution in case of any building collapse.
