Principal Gives Report on King Street School at Port Chester School Board Session

District also set to recognized Port Chester High School student-athlete Jason Ippolito for his achievements.

King Street School Principal Sam Ortiz is scheduled to give a report on his school to the Port Chester school board at is public session tonight.

The school board is set to meet at 7 p.m. at King Street School.

In addition to hearing an update on King Street from Ortiz, the school board is scheduled to recognize staff and students for their achievements, including Port Chester High School student-athlete Jason Ippolito.

The meeting is also to have the formal "first reading" of district policies, including:

- Drug and alcohol abuse

- Disclosure of wrongful conduct

- School safety

- Idling prohibition for buses and other school vehicles

- Prohibited student conduct

- Student rights and responsibilities

Prior to the 7 p.m. public session the school board is anticipated to have a 6 p.m. closed-door executive session discuss items including negotiations, litigation and personnel matters.
