Port Chester Planners Look at Local Proposals

Projects throughout the village.

Members of the Port Chester Planning Commission are set to review a variety of projects in the village at a session set for 7 tonight at the Port Chester Senior Center, 222 Grace Church St.

The commission has scheduled decisions on two proposals and is continuing hearings on several others. The commission also has several new hearings scheduled on proposals.

The commission is expected to have decisions on a proposal by DCH/Dent Wizard, 110 Midland Ave. to install a self-contained auto spray booth. Also, at 110 N. Main St., the commission is to decide a plane to raise an existing roof structure to provide habitable space, with the existing second floor to be used as an office, storage, private dining and a service kitchen for private dining.

7 Willow St. - A proposal for a nightclub is being withdrawn to make a new application for the site.

400 Westchester Ave. - Continued hearing on proposal for Carver Center to construct a new, rear entrance that is handicap-accessible, and to replace its playground hearing.

26 Putnam Ave. - A new hearing on a proposal to continue an existing second-floor sign/graphic design shop and for current non-conforming use as a laundromat.

275 Boston Post Road - A new hearing on a plan to renovate an existing vacant food service business location into a Popeye's franchise restaurant with a drive-through.

50 Broad St. - Proposal to subdivide property which includes Verizon central office.

163 N. Main St. - A new hearing on a proposal to convert a garage door entry area to an accessory kitchen with walk-up, take-away food service as an accessory to Tondoori Restaurant.

29 N. Main St. - A new hearing on a proposal to build a new raised concrete terrace on the rear of the building to be used for outdoor dining.
