POLL: Should Rye Brook Build Affordable Housing in Port Chester Schools District 4?

Port Chester's elected officials and some residents worry that Rye Brook will add more students to already-overcrowded Port Chester schools by building affordable housing in District 4.

Rye Brook, one of more than two dozen communities required to build afforable housing to satisfy the terms of a , has identified several potential sites in District 4.

In Port Chester, that possibility has , residents and some in the school community, who say the school district cannot accomodate more children. Others say any development in District 4 the terms of the lawsuit, which explicitly call for fair housing in neighborhoods lacking diversity.
