POLL: Gelfarb or Brakewood for County Legislator?

Both candidates are stepping up campaigning efforts ahead of next month's election.

With about a month to go before voters head to the polls, local candidates for county legislator are stepping up campaign efforts.

Later this month, Democrat Daniel Brakewood and Republican David Gelfarb will take questions and interact with the public at a forum sponsored by the Rye, Rye Brook and Port Chester League of Women Voters.

Brakewood, a current Port Chester trustee, earned his party's nomination with a victory over fellow Democrat Mark Jaffe in last month's primary. Gelfarb, a Rye Town councilman, ran unopposed in the Republican primary.
