Village continues to cope with ongoing power outages from Hurricane Sandy.

As about 5,900 Con Ed customers remained without power on Thursday, Port Chester distributed a supply of dry ice to residents at the Port Chester Senior Center to help them keep food and related items cold at home.

Con Ed reported that about 2,000 customers in Port Chester had power restored on Thursday as efforts continue to clear debris and repair downed lines that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
