Rye Town Supervisor and congressional candidate , R-NY 17, who says he's is running for Congress to address the massive federal debt that is killing job growth in America -- and threatening to permanently drag down the economy -- opened his on South Liberty Drive in Stony Point on Saturday.
Carvin, who is sharing a campaign headquarters with state Sen. Bill Larkin, R-Cornwall-on-Hudson, met with local supporters and volunteers to open the office.
Carvin is running against 24-year incumbent Nita Lowey, D-Harrison.
is set to join with her supporters today for the opening of the Lowey for Congress Rockland County Headquarters. The newly-drawn 17th Congressional District will extend from Westchester to include all of Rockland County. Until the redistricting, Lowey only represented a portion of Rockland County, including New City and Congers.
Lowey is set to open her Rockland office at 340 Route 304, Bardonia, from 1 to 3 p.m.
