A leaky pipe created a big stink at the Port Chester Senior Center.
Throughout the day on Saturday a foul odor was noticed by workers and local residents at the senior center, located adjacent to Port Chester Village Hall on Grace Church Street. At around 8 p.m., the smell became so bad that the center was evacuated and Port Chester firefighters were called to investigate.
Port Chester police say firefighters found a broken sewage pipe in the basement of the building, which appeared to be the source of the odors.
