Mobile Passport Van

The Westchester County Mobile Passport Van will be rolling into Port Chester on to help residents quickly and easily apply for U.S. Passports under the new passport requirements.

The van will be assisting residents with passport applications, which take approximately 4 - 6 weeks to process.   It is possible to your application for an additional $60 fee, but it is meant for emergency circumstances only.  The cost for a U.S. Passport is $135 for adults and $105 for children.

New Regulations

As of June 1st, a passport is required for travel from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda by land, sea or air.  Previously, the 2007 revision had required a passport for these areas only if traveling by air.

Most cruise lines are currently requiring a passport for any travel destination outside of the United States.  It's best to be prepared in case you decide to travel, so apply for your passport now!  For passports FAQ's, click here.

What You Need

• Proof that you are a United States citizen, such as a previous expired U.S. Passport, an original or certified copy of your birth certificate, a consular report of birth abroad or a naturalization certificate.
• Proof of your identity such as a current valid driver's license or a government issued identification card.
• A second ID is required if you are submitting an out-of-state driver's license.
• Cash or check for $135 for an adult passport or $105 for a child's passport. 
• Passport photos; or, our staff can take your photo for $10.

Land or Sea U.S. Passport Card

It is also possible to obtain a U.S. Passport Card, which allows for land or sea border travel outside the United States, but not air travel.  Fees for this card are $55 for adults and $40 for children.
