Document: Trustee's Parking Amnesty Analysis

Over the past three years, monthly meter collections have ranged from a low of $78,000 to as much as $153,000.

As noted in a Monday story about Port Chester's parking ticket amnesty, the village's trustees are at odds over the program's effectiveness.

One thing they did agree on: Direct village management to "smooth out" parking revenue by making sure ticket-writing is more consistent.

"This is definitely a management issue," Mayor Dennis Pilla said after viewing data on meter collections during last week's trustee meeting.

The attached document was presented during that meeting by Trustee Daniel Brakewood. The analysis includes data from 35 months of parking meter collection in the village, from low-points ($78,000 on parking tickets in October of 2010) to high points, such as the $153,000 collected in April of 2009, or the $152,000 collected in November.
