Woman Ticketed After Calling Cops on Drunk Driver

A Port Chester woman ended up with a vehicle and traffic violation when she called the police on a driver who hit her car on Summerfield Place on Sept. 8 at 1:20 p.m.

The 22-year-old Port Chester resident was backing out of a driveway when another driver pulled up and blocked her car, Police Lt. James Ladeairous said. When she got out to see what he was doing, the driver allegedly struck her car with his, police said. She called the police, who smelled alcohol on the man when they arrived, Ladeairous said.

The man, 29-year-old Milton Zhaqui-Faquisari, allegedly failed field sobriety tests so police arrested him for DWI. Zhaqui-Faquisari was previously convicted of a DWI in 2007 and had no license because of that conviction so he was charged with felony DWI and felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree.

When police ran the woman’s license they saw it was suspended for failure to show for Port Chester court appearances so they gave her a ticket for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, only a violation in her case.
