Vandals Caught on Camera, YPD Offers $1k Reward for Arrest and Conviction

Police consider the incidents hate crimes, and they're looking for the public's help in tracking down the vandals.

This one comes from the other side of Westchester County, but public help could be the key to helping police arrest vandals for hate crimes.

The Yonkers Police Department has catalogued a dozen recent vandalism incidents as hate crimes -- detectives say the vandals have targeted religious statues, using black spray paint to deface them.

Police hope recent developments lead to a breakthrough in the investigation: One vandal was caught on surveillance camera this weekend, and detectives hope the public can help identify the person.
