Two Port Chester Men Beaten by Group in Early-Morning Attack

Police: Victims were not seriously injured.

Two Port Chester men were jumped and beaten by a group of 10 to 12 teenagers on Westchester Avenue early Tuesday morning, according to Port Chester police.

Although one of the victims was attacked twice, police said neither man was seriously injured in the 3:41 a.m. incident.

The victims, ages 36 and 43, told police they were in a parking area of the , 37 Westchester Ave., when they were approached by a youth who asked them for a cigarette — which they did not have. The men told police that a group youths then descended upon them and beat them.

Police said the two men ran toward the gas station building to get help and the youths scattered. However, police said one of the victims walked over to some of the youths who were still in the area and was beaten again.

Nothing was reported stolen in the attacks.

Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
