Two Charged in Attack on Port Chester Teenager

15-year-old knocked down as he was walking home.

Two Port Chester residents, ages 16 and 20, have been charged with attempted robbery in connection with an attack on a Port Chester teenager as he was walking home, according to Port Chester Police.

The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was approached shortly before 3:40 p.m. on Friday. Police said two young men approached the teen and demanded money and a phone. The teen was knocked to the ground.

The victim, however, did not have any money or a phone and he ran off. The victim went home and alerted his mother to the attack, with the teen and his mother then going to the Don Bosco Community Center for assistance.

At the community center, police were notified of the incident and began an investigation which led to two arrests.

Jean Vilchez Flores, 20, of 525 Locust Ave., Port Chester, and a 16-year-old Port Chester resident were both charged with attempted robbery. They both face hearings in Port Chester Village Court.

Police did not release the identity of the 16-year-old charged in the incident.
