Thousands In Equipment Stolen from Willett Ave. Business

Employees at Interstate Fire and Safety told police that thieves made off with two portable steam cleaners worth $1,800 each.

Police are investigating the theft of $3,600 in equipment from a Willett Avenue business.

The manager of at 404 Willett Ave. called police on Tuesday to report a break-in to a company vehicle, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

The manager told officers that company technicians parked several vans in the driveway of the business at 4 p.m. on May 14. When employees returned the next day at 6:30 a.m., they discovered two portable steam cleaners worth $1,800 apiece were missing from one of the vans.

Employees told police they locked up as usual, and there were no signs of forced entry into the van where the machines were kept.

Port Chester police are continuing an investigation. Anyone with information on the thefts can call the Port Chester Police Department at 914-939-1000. All calls will be kept confidential.
