Thieves Steal Tip Jar Twice from Same Restaurant
Counter workers at Brisa Marina weren't amused Monday when their tip jar was taken twice in a matter of hours.
The counter staff at restaurant had a rough Monday.
Earlier in the day, someone had swiped their tip jar. Then it happened a second time. At 7:30 p.m., two men walked into the 40 Grace Church St. restaurant-bar, grabbed the tip jar off the counter and ran out, Port Chester police Lt. James Ladeairous said.
The complainant, a 29-year-old woman who works at Brisa Marina, described the suspects as a white man wearing all black, and a black male wearing black pants, a purple shirt and a black jacket. Both were described as young men, about six feet tall.
Restaurant staff didn't know how much money was in the tip jar the first time around, but said about $20 was in the jar the second time it was swiped.
