Teens Cited for Disorderly Conduct in Incident at Theater

Police break up large group, but two 16-year-olds refused to leave.

Two teenagers who were part of a large group harassing workers at a Port Chester threater were charged with disorderly conduct when they refused orders to leave the area, according to Port Chester Police.

Police said the group of an estimated 15 to 20 young people had gathered at 9:30 p.m. at the AMC Loews theater, 40 Westchester Ave., on Friday and were causing a disturbance. Theater workers complained they were being harassed by the group.

Village police officers told the group to leave the area. However, police said two teens - one a 16-year-old Port Chester resident and the other a 16-year-old Mount Vernon resident - refused repeated orders to leave the area.
